1. designing customized, comprehensive professional development based on the results of assessing client’s needs;

2. modeling  the instructional practices taught;

3. using a standards-based approach in designing, planning,
and implementing  professional development

4. providing  on-going and systemic support to the education community to create positive learning environments and improve student achievement;

5. coaching to support implementation of educational practice

6. monitoring and evaluating the work of the Academy for continuous improvement;

7. participating in research and collaborating with universities
 and other educational organizations to improve professional practice; and

8. working collaboratively and respecting each member’s contribution to the work of the Mayerson Academy team
