In July we asked our readers to support the Strong Cincinnati entry to the Ashoka Changemakers Children’s Wellbeing Challenge. The challenge received 284 entries from innovators across the United States who are committed to helping build a world in which children are able to cope, hope, and thrive. Your heartfelt response, feedback (and applause!) helped the team of reviewers select Strong Cincinnati as one of only 122 Pioneers for the Children’s Wellbeing challenge.
In the next phase of the challenge, Pioneers will have an opportunity to revise their entries and reflect on children’s wellbeing through a supplemental entry form, giving greater detail into their work and the challenges they face. Then, a panel of expert judges will select 10 Champions, announced on October 5th.
At Mayerson Academy we believe positive character strengths are such an important part of children’s well-being that we have joined in the effort to lay claim to being a leading strengths based city in the world. Congratulations to Strong Cincinnati for their powerful entry. Visit Strong Cincinnati to learn more about using breakthrough discoveries in character science to create thriving and fulfilling lives for ourselves, our organizations and our neighborhoods.
